For what this demo was, it was not too bad! Well put together plot so far and great story building. And the feeling of being watched adds to it as well as we explore the airbnb/cabin. Only issue I had with this game was sometimes grabbed objects would get stuck on door frames, so I technically didn't have the item anymore to do an objective. I had to find where the item got stuck and get it unstuck. The items should have their collisions turned off after being picked up to avoid this issue. Another issue was this game seemed to have an issue with the frame rate. It felt like it was running fairly low and seemed to drop lower at certain points and for a PSX style game that is pretty bad. It suggests that there is wonky optimization going on. Apart from those 2 things I had a great time with this demo! Made a video on it.

So some of you may be wondering is this an honest mistake or a goof. Its not, Montack does this thing often enough its pretty clearly on purpose... but you don't need to take my word for it, clicking on thier name on this post will take you on over to their recent posts.

I dug the vibe with this indie horror - made me think of the Oscar Issac film 'Ex Machina' fusing the tech world with The Last of Us fungus. There was a real unnerving, pervading sense that you were being watched the whole time (you are) but that every action you were waiting for the other shoe to drop. The game doesn't hold your hand either with the evidence collecting - in my playthrough I got 12/17 photos (poor baby reindeer) and I like the look of where this is going.

My only constructive feedback would be that the controls for the phone with right clicking can get a bit fiddly, and reading Blair's text whilst trying to read the phone can also get a little overwhelming. Maybe have Blair say something after the player has put the phone down?

Apart from that, I'm intrigued by the concept and look forward to the full release. Hope this blows up with Steam's Next Fest!
